Alternatives to Alcohol During Treatment

Stay hydrated! Water is your best friend during any medication course. Aim for at least eight glasses a day.

Consider herbal teas. Chamomile, peppermint, and ginger can soothe upset stomachs and promote relaxation–often better alternatives to alcohol’s sedative effects. Experiment to find your favorites!

Enjoy sparkling water with fruit. Add slices of lemon, lime, cucumber, or berries for a refreshing and flavorful drink. This provides hydration and a pleasant alternative.

Explore non-alcoholic beverages. Many delicious juices, sodas, and even “mocktails” are available. Experiment with different flavors to find what you enjoy.

Remember, consistency is key. Stick to your chosen alternatives throughout your treatment for best results. Your body will thank you for it.

Important note: Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before making significant dietary changes, especially while on medication.
