How to Use Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Eye Drops

Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the drops. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper above your eye, about ½ inch away, and squeeze a single drop into the pocket. Close your eye gently and press gently on the inner corner of your eye (near your nose) for about 1 minute to prevent the medication from draining into your tear duct.

Using Multiple Drops

If your doctor prescribed more than one drop per application, wait about 5 minutes between drops to allow each drop to be fully absorbed. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface.

After Application

After applying the drops, avoid rubbing your eyes. Wait at least 15 minutes before wearing contact lenses. If you experience any blurry vision, wait until your vision clears before driving or operating machinery. Always follow your doctor’s instructions precisely regarding dosage and frequency.
