Urinary Retention: Ditropan XL can worsen urinary retention. Patients with bladder outlet obstruction or a history of urinary retention should use caution. Report difficulty urinating to your physician.
Heat Prostration: This medication can reduce sweating, increasing the risk of heatstroke. Avoid excessive heat exposure, especially during hot weather. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
Gastrointestinal Effects: Constipation, dry mouth, and nausea are common side effects. Increase fluid intake and fiber to alleviate constipation. Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
Hypersensitivity: Allergic reactions, including rash, are possible. Stop taking Ditropan XL and seek medical attention if you develop an allergic reaction.
Drug Interactions: Ditropan XL may interact with other medications. Always inform your doctor or pharmacist of all medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements.
